About me.
Hello! My name is Neha and my pronouns are she/they. I am the artist and educator behind Samaaj Ceramics. Samaaj means community. I chose the name because I have learned so much when surrounded by and in community with fellow artists.
I have always needed to make things with my hands. I first touched clay in high school and instantly fell in love. Fast forward 15+ years and I re-discovered ceramics and signed up to take a class at a nearby community ceramics studio. That was in 2017 and I haven’t looked back. Most days you can find me in my studio covered in clay, experimenting, and creating :)
I have worked and lived in Brooklyn, NY and Berkeley, CA. I am currently based out of Ann Arbor, MI.
